Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy
At Lucent Carat Lab, we want you to be entirely confident in your diamond acquisition. We provide a 14-day risk-free inspection period on all standard certified loose diamonds, supported by complimentary return shipping and prompt refund processing.

11. 14-Day Risk-Free Inspection Period
You have 14 calendar days from the date of confirmed delivery to examine your loose diamond in person. If the gemstone does not meet your aesthetic preferences or requirements, you may return it for a 100% full refund with zero restocking fees.
22. Return Eligibility & Condition Standards
To qualify for a full refund: (a) The diamond must be in its original, brand-new condition-unaltered, unset, unscratched, and unmounted; (b) The original laboratory grading certificate (IGI or GIA document) must be returned in pristine condition (replacement fee of $150 applies for missing physical certs as charged by laboratories); (c) The gemstone must match its original microscopic laser inscription and certificate proportions.
33. Complimentary Insured Return Logistics
We provide complimentary prepaid, fully insured return shipping labels for all approved domestic and international returns. Our concierge will send you step-by-step secure packaging instructions and arrange courier collection or designated drop-off at an authorized armored shipping hub.
44. Multi-Point Gemological Verification
Upon safe receipt at our Chicago intake vault, every returned stone is inspected by our senior gemologists within 48 business hours. We verify the diamond's weight, dimensions, laser inscription, and optical purity against the laboratory certificate on file.
55. Refund Method & Processing Timelines
Following successful gemological verification, your refund is approved immediately and credited back to your original payment method (Credit card, Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, or Bank Wire). Refunds typically reflect on your bank or card statement within 3 to 5 business days depending on your financial institution.
66. Order Cancellation Prior to Dispatch
You may cancel any standard inventory order free of charge at any point prior to carrier collection and dispatch. Upon cancellation request, we immediately release your funds for an instant 100% full refund.
77. Bespoke Cuts & Custom Jewelry Policy
Custom-cut diamonds grown or faceted to specific non-standard client blueprints and personalized engraved jewelry settings are custom-crafted items. Once raw growth or laser cutting begins, bespoke deposits and custom design labor are non-refundable. If a custom stone possesses any manufacturing defect, we will re-cut or replace it under our Lifetime Quality Guarantee.
88. Transit Damage or Discrepancy Claims
In the rare event that a parcel arrives with evidence of external tampering or transit damage, please notify our team within 48 hours of delivery. We will immediately coordinate with our insurance carrier and dispatch a replacement stone or issue an expedited full refund at our expense.
